What is it?
DeterBio® is a powerful, high-foaming alkaline general-purpose cleaner developed for rapid removal of caked-on residues and heavy organic soiling, especially fats and oils, from surfaces and equipment. Effective disinfection depends on good cleaning: DeterBio® deep-cleans surfaces so the disinfectant can work. DeterBio® replaces Deterstorm NF; it is the same product under a new name.

Demonstrated savings
For 100 m², DeterBio® reduced water use from 960 to 780 litres and working time from 48 to 39 minutes, savings of up to 20% in each case.
Effect on disinfection results
A complete protocol using DeterBio® leaves demonstrably fewer microorganisms than a basic protocol. After cleaning and initial disinfection, reductions of up to 90% were measured, compared with 76% in a farrowing unit and 69% in a piglet unit using a basic protocol.
Directions for use
- Dry-clean all surfaces and equipment.
- Pre-soak all surfaces with clean water under low pressure for at least two hours.
- Prepare a 2% solution (1:50), or set dosing equipment to the required dilution.
- Apply DeterBio® to all surfaces with a foam lance at 300 ml/m². Allow twenty minutes of contact and rinse thoroughly with clean water under low to medium pressure.
