Important for the result
Always clean thoroughly before disinfection. Organic material—dirt, hair, feed residues and faeces—inactivates disinfectants and prevents the product reaching the pathogen. Follow the prescribed concentration and contact time, rinse where required and allow the housing to dry before animals return.
During infectious disease
Virkon™S is effective against parvovirus, which is particularly resistant and survives in the environment for a long time. Thorough cleaning and the correct concentration and contact time are decisive during an outbreak. Consistent environmental hygiene is also important in managing feline respiratory disease, Giardia and kennel cough.
